Mahayuti Alliance Celebrates Landslide In Maharashtra Election

The Mahayuti alliance, comprising BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP, is set for a landslide victory in Maharashtra’s Assembly elections. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has declared victory as the alliance leads in the vote count. Jubilant celebrations are underway outside key leaders’ residences, with sweets being distributed by workers and leaders. The final voter turnout was 66.05%, up from 61.1% in 2019. The ruling alliance contested 149 BJP seats, 81 Shiv Sena seats, and 59 NCP seats, while MVA’s Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP) contested 101, 95, and 86 seats, respectively.
