Araghchi laughed off the reports, labeling them as unfounded fabrications. His remarks came after earlier statements from an Iranian government spokesperson, who expressed “surprise” at the claims made by U.S. media. The controversy stemmed from a report by The New York Times, which claimed that Musk had met with Iran’s Ambassador to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, earlier this week. The NYT cited anonymous Iranian sources, describing the interaction as “positive.”
