Ajay Devgn’s ‘Son of Sardar 2’ has hit theatres today. The film is receiving mixed responses from the audience. It is a sequel to the actor’s hit 2012 film, which also starred Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha. And Ajay has incorporated a big surprise in the second installment, and people who have watched it already got what this is about. The makers almost did an official announcement of ‘Golmaal 5’ in the climax sequence in a creative way.
Rohit Shetty makes an appearance in ‘Son of Sardar 2’
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who shares a good bond with Ajay Devgn, has a cameo in the movie. During the climax scene, the director appears on screen, to which the ‘Singham’ actor asks him what he was doing. The sequence showcased the filmmaker answering, “Golmaal 5 ki taiyaari kar raha hu.”With this, the duo has confirmed that they will be coming back for the fifth installment of the franchise. And not just that, the fans of the film series are now eagerly waiting to watch the fifth part on the big screens.
Rohit Shetty to star in ‘Golmaal 5’
As per Pinkvilla, after completing the Rakesh Maria biopic starring John Abraham, the filmmaker will start working on ‘Golmaal 5.’ Reportedly, the film will start rolling by February 2026. A source told the publication that the basic plot of the film has been locked and the film is in the screenplay writing phase.

The film is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and also stars Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, and Sanjay Mishra. Apart from them, it also features Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Chunky Panday, Sharat Saxena, Mukul Dev, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, and Ashwini Kalsekar in supporting roles.
Reportedly, Sanjay Dutt was supposed to reprise his role in the film; however, he couldn’t join the team for the film as his visa was rejected by the United Kingdom.
