LOSTnFOUND AG, part of AddSecure, plays key role in digitising Swiss toll system

As co-operator of the system LOSTnFOUND is responsible for managing the onboarding of toll terminals and ensuring multilingual support for thousands of vehicle owners.

LOSTnFOUND AG, the Swiss subsidiary of AddSecure, has achieved a major milestone in the rollout of Switzerland’s new national toll system. In June 2025, the installation of new toll terminals began in up to 55,000 trucks across the country.

The Vehicle Recording System (VRS), developed by Kapsch TrafficCom, is operated by NATRAS AG, a joint venture between Kapsch TrafficCom and LOSTnFOUND AG, which is part of the AddSecure.

As a central operational partner within NATRAS AG, LOSTnFOUND has implemented the system for the complete onboarding of the end devices supplied by Kapsch TrafficCom. A particular focus is on providing multilingual support for up to 12’000 vehicle owners. They receive expert assistance in the three national languages—German, French, and Italian—as well as in English to ensure a smooth transition to the new toll system.

The terminals are managed using custom-developed electronic tools designed entirely in-house by LOSTnFOUND. These tools enable a high level of automation, scalability, and operational efficiency – key requirements for a modern and reliable toll collection system.

“The start of the migration marks a milestone on the road to the complete digitisation of Swiss toll collection. The system will be operated and continuously developed over the coming years to meet the requirements of the transport industry in the long term,” explains Daniel Thommen, Managing Director of LOSTnFOUND AG, Part of AddSecure, and project manager of the joint venture.

NATRAS AG will operate the system until at least 2033.
