Authorities have confirmed that 26-year-old Brazilian dancer and hiker Juliana Marins died from internal bleeding caused by blunt force trauma after falling from a volcano cliff during a trek up Mount Rinjani in Indonesia. Her body was recovered after a three-day search that ended hopes of finding her alive. At a press conference, coroner Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Alit revealed that Marins suffered multiple bone fractures and severe organ damage, and died within 20 minutes of impact. The injuries suggest a sudden, high-altitude fall. There were no signs of hypothermia or prolonged suffering. Toxicology tests are still underway, with final autopsy results expected in two weeks.
