An RTI revelation that YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, arrested on espionage charges, was invited by the Kerala Tourism Department as an influencer has sparked political uproar. The BJP accused the Vijayan government of compromising national security by allowing her access to sensitive sites like Cochin Shipyard and the Naval Academy. Leaders Shehzad Poonawalla and K. Surendran demanded a probe and the resignation of the tourism minister. Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas claimed she was invited in good faith. CPI also condemned the reports.
