Putin Aide Lambasts U.S. At UN Over North Korean Troops In Russia Claim

Vladimir Putin’s aide and Russia’s UN Ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia, vehemently condemned America’s claims regarding North Korean troops fighting for Russia during a UN Security Council meeting. He characterised the allegations as “barefaced lies,” following Washington’s assertions that North Korean soldiers have arrived in Russia’s Kursk region. U.S. officials believe approximately 10,000 North Korean soldiers are set to train in eastern Russia. In light of these developments, the U.S. has called for North Korea to withdraw its troops from Russian territory immediately. This escalating rhetoric underscores the rising tensions between Russia and the U.S. amidst the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
