Turkey announced a major reduction in its $23 billion F-16 package with the U.S., canceling the purchase of 79 modernization kits. Turkey will still acquire 40 new F-16 jets for $7 billion but plans to explore Eurofighter Typhoon jets and rejoining the F-35 program despite previous expulsion.
